Learn FileMaker Charts and Connecting FileMaker to Tableau
In this course, FileMaker Charting and Beyond, from Productive Computing University, Stuart will show you how to create and configure the ten different FileMaker charts and demonstrate connecting to the free version of the online charting software, Tableau.
Charts are a great way to present relevant business information to users as a visual tool to allow them to quickly interpret the meaning of the data. Learning to use FileMaker charts gives you the option to summarize your findings in your FileMaker app with clear and concise dashboards, reports, or summaries.
The course includes a FileMaker sample app to help you understand the options in the FileMaker Chart Inspector tool and view examples of each chart. We discuss best practices and provide a list of questions to ask your users/clients.
FileMaker Charting and Beyond is available for purchase as a stand-alone course or as part of the University Bundle. Existing University Bundle subscribers are automatically enrolled.

Another FileMaker Server SSL Certificate Installation Course Update
In September, we updated the FileMaker Server SSL Certificate Installation course to help explain the new "Open SSL" process introduced FileMaker Server 18.0.2. However, with the release of FileMaker Server version 18.0.3, the installation process reverted back to how it was originally done.
As such, we have updated the course by removing lessons that no longer apply while at the same time adding a new lesson demonstrating how best to “renew” your SSL certificate once it expires and more.
The new lessons cover:
- Installation of FileMaker Server 18 for Mac or Win
- Renewing an expired SSL certificate
- Understanding and configuring FileMaker Server
with “Open JDK"
This course is the most effective way to learn all you need to know about securing your solution with an SSL.
The FileMaker Server SSL Certificate Installation course is available for purchase as a stand-alone course or as part of the University Bundle. Existing course or University Bundle subscribers have immediate access to these new lessons.
