Productive Computing Announces a Bundle of FileMaker 18 Videos
San Diego, CA - May 22, 2019 - Productive Computing, Inc., a Platinum member of the FileMaker® Business Alliance, announces a new series of videos to help FileMaker developers and users learn what's new with the FileMaker 18 platform.
FileMaker 18 Platform
Each year FileMaker provides a new version with more and more features to help developers create, share and integrate their FileMaker apps. And this year is no exception!
We have been hard at work reviewing what’s new and creating a series of videos to share these updates with you.
Some quick highlights include:
- New import dialog window with many user-friendly features
- Additions to scripting and calculations
- Enhanced barcode support (4 new barcode types)
- Updates to manage security dialog
We brought all of these videos together (a total of 16) in a FREE course FileMaker 18 Platform Features at Productive Computing University.
FM Server Manager
Last year, we created the free FM Server Manager tool to work with FileMaker Server’s Data API to manage your server, schedule backups, query for user information and more. We added videos to this free course and updated the tool to take advantage of the Admin API updates. Check out the course or our blog for more information on this free tool.
Productive Computing Plug-in Updates
We have been hard at work testing and prepping for the FileMaker 18 release. With this new version of FileMaker, our plug-ins needed to be updated and "code-signed".
Applying the Code Signing Certificate to the plug-in and installer ensures users will not receive a warning message at installation or start-up of FileMaker 18 and introduces an extra level of security to make certain the plug-in package is not compromised in any way.
We offer FileMaker plug-ins that push and pull data between FileMaker and a variety of applications including Outlook, QuickBooks, Apple Contacts and Calendar, Google services, Amazon S3, PDF forms, digital signatures, and biometric fingerprint scanners.
