gManipulator


What is it?
-----------

The gManipulator plug-in connects your FileMaker solution with Google. With this plug-in, FileMaker Pro users are able to bidirectionally exchange data between FileMaker and Google. These operations are accomplished using FileMaker function calls from within FileMaker calculations.

The latest version of the gManipulator plug-in can be found on the Productive Computing, Inc., web page under http://www.productivecomputing.com/products/google-filemaker-integration/.


Documentation
-------------

Documentation available as of this date of this release is included in the Doc Library section of the Productive Computing, Inc., website. This can be found at http://help.productivecomputing.com/knowledge_base/categories/gmanipulator.


Installation
------------

There are two methods of installing the gManipulator located within this bundle: Simple and Advanced. To ensure a clean installation process, please ensure that FileMaker Pro is closed out entirely.

Simple Install:
Open the “Install gManipulator.pkg” file located within this DMG folder. Follow the instructions in the installer application to install the gManipulator and its requisite files to your machine. Once the installation is complete, you can open the gManipulator Demo File, located in the “gManipulator Extras” folder on your Desktop.

Advanced Install:
In the folder titled “Extras” within this DMG folder, you will find all components of the gManipulator plug-in, including the plug-in itself and the gManipulator demo file. These components will need to be placed at the “Install Locations” as listed below.

Install Locations
------------------

The following paths are the directories where the gManipulator and its components will be installed into:

Demo File: /Volumes/<Current User>/Desktop/gManipulator Extras/Demo/
Plug-in File: /Volumes/<Current User>/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/Extensions/

If installing the gManipulator manually using the “Advanced Install” method (see “Installation” Above), the bundle’s files will need to go into the above locations accordingly.


Uninstallation
--------------

To uninstall the gManipulator from the machine, run the uninstall.tool file. This will remove all components that were installed from the current machine.
