15. Timers [3:38]

Description: This video provides an overview of the Timers tab in the Core4 CRM.

Let’s take a closer look at Timers in the Core4. The timers area keeps track of Core users’ timers. Here you can create, track, and manage valuable time spent. Let’s begin by creating a new Timer. Select the New Record icon in the status toolbar. The start time will be logged by default. Let’s enter an end time. Total Hrs is automatically calculated from the Start and End times. Next let’s put a Description. Then you can link the timer to a contact record. You could also link the timer to a Project. If you link it to a Project, here you may select a specific Project Item.

1:23 If you’d like to view a timer’s detail, select this blue arrow. You can then browse through timers in a more comprehensive format. The More Info tab carries over the description and Timer number. The Created and Modified By date/time stamps track when the timer was created and who it last modified and by. Select this icon to view the timers in a list again.

2:06 These columns give you the flexibility to sort timers by category. For instance, you could sort by User, Start time, Description, Contact, and so forth. We even have an option to preview the timer list with this button. You could save it as a PDF, or Print it if needed. Timers are a simple and convenient way to keep track of your users’ valuable time spent.
