Q: Where can I find instructions for using my plug-in?

For specific platform instructions please visit our Forum at www.productivecomputing.com/forum or just click the button titled Forum at the bottom of the page. We offer two options should you need additional assistance with script writing, plug-in integration or want training on the best integration method. The first option is PAID Technical Support which is at our standard hourly rate BUT is billed by the minute. The second option is to fill out a Request a Quote form so that one of our representatives can contact you to discuss you project in more detail and provide you with an estimate.

Q: Do you offer a developer license should I want to bundle a plug-in with my own solution?

Yes and for more information please see our Reseller Program page. However, in short your options are as follows: 1) RESELLER LICENSE: As a reseller you can save up to a maximum of 20% with additional savings on bulk purchases. This is a great option to start with until you increase your sales volume. 2) UNLIMITED DEVELOPER DISTRIBUTION LICENSE (UDDL): This option allows the developer to incorporate our plug-in into a single solution and distribute it freely without location restrictions to purchasers of their solution. The only restriction is that a separate Developer License is required for each unique FileMaker solution that you bundle it with. The Developer Distribution License only allows distribution within a predefined solution. Distribution of the plug-in for custom development that is not a specific packaged solution has to be purchased by the user or by the site and is not covered by the Developer Distribution License.

Q: Do your plug-ins work with runtime solutions and kiosk mode?

Yes, all our plug-ins work with runtime solutions as well as kiosk mode solutions. In order to use plug-ins in a FileMaker Runtime solution, make sure that you have created a folder called "Extensions" and then place the plug-in in that folder. Just like the FileMaker application, a folder is needed to house all plug-ins that are used by a FileMaker Runtime solution. For example: Runtime Folder/Extensions/your plug-in Please note: When binding your solution into a runtime, make sure that your filenames do NOT include any numbers.
