Product Questions - Address Book Manipulator
Q: Is there a limitation to the amount of contacts that I can transfer at a time?
There is not a limitation in the amount of fields and contacts in the Mac Address Book which can be transferred. However please note that you must turn off iSync before updating the Address Book with over 50 or so records. After the process is done, then you can turn iSync back on.
Q: Can I “sync” in a multi user environment?
Yes, however “Sync” methods are complex therefore we typically recommend having FileMaker as your master and pushing to Apple Address Book. Since you are in a multi user environment with each user’s Apple Address Book as the “master” then you might want to utilize the Address Book Server or another similar third party application. By designating a data exchange between only one Apple Address Book and FileMaker by utilizing the Address Book Server all of you users can still keep their new and/or altered contacts in Apple Address Book. You will simply be using AB Server to do the syncing and then you can go direct to FileMaker from ONE machine.
