Plain HTML site for Address Book Manipulator
« on: July 06, 2009, 10:43:00 AM »
With the exception of this forum, the Address Book Manipulator site appears to be totally Flash.  While Flash makes sense for (skippable) intros and demos, otherwise it's an inconvenience:

  • I can't bookmark pages, e.g., FAQs.
  • Browser behavior is limited, e.g., can't open pages in a new tab or new window.
  • Browser controls don't work as expected, e.g., scrolling long text.
  • Clicking an Email link opens a blank window.

I expect I'll encounter additional glitches as time passes.

I see now that I'm confusing the http://www.addressbookmanipulator.com/ (totally Flash) and http://www.productivecomputing.com/ (HTML) sites.

My frustration with gratuitous Flash still applies to the http://www.addressbookmanipulator.com/ site.

I apologize for the delay in responding but I was attempting to obtain an official release date of when our new web site would be done. Many others also share your frustration of flash sites which is one of the reasons why we are redesigning all our sites and completely eliminating flash. I believe the estimated launch date is in September 2009 (could be sooner or later). We are excited for our new site and hope you will be very pleased!  :)

We highly value feedback from our customers and thank you for taking the time to express your concerns.
