QBXML Parsing
« on: April 14, 2017, 07:18:00 AM »
Does anyone have any sample code for parsing the XML responses from QuickBooks that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Some of my other XML parsing code doesn't seem to like QBXML. Basically, what I'm trying to do is run a Job Profitability Detail query, and build the list of rows in a table that has the Label, Cost, Revenue and Diff in different columns.

I feel this should be trivial, but I'm struggling nonetheless.

Thanks,
Ryan

It's not trivial. In the past I've concluded that XPath filtering is largely beyond the scope of what's easily resolved via this forum, and have offered to provide paid support for those who want to flatten the learning curve. I've said in other threads that it's an incredibly powerful tool. And for report parsing, there's nothing better.

Feel free to contact me by phone or email if you want to talk about how we can help you with this.
