SalesRep on Customer
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:27:46 PM »
Anyone have some samples of how to set the SalesRep on a Customer. Does it need to exist in the list in QB first? Whats the correct way of searching for it?

Thanks!
Ryan

The SalesRep must exist in QB before you can include a reference to it in a QB Invoice or Customer Add/Mod Request. You can create a SalesRepQuery Request to find out whether or not it exists in QB. Bear in mind that a Sales Rep is different than most other List entities in QB--it's a kind of join record that identifies a specific Employee, Customer, or Vendor record as a SalesRep. And the SalesRep FullName value is unlikely to match the FullName value of the Employee, Customer, or Vendor record because its value is limited to five characters.
