Setting Field Values on a Form.
« on: February 19, 2014, 09:58:37 AM »
I just purchased the PDF Manipulator and am having trouble setting field data on a PDF form, My overall objective is to populate the fields in the PDF from FileMaker 12 records email the form to clients to update and email back and then update the FileMaker 12 records. To this end, I wrote a  test script, based on the Developers Document, to get familiar with the PDF Manipulator, that opens a PDF and sets field values and then saves the PDF to another folder. The problem is, no field values  get set and the PDF doesn't get saved although no errors are detected. The PDF does get opened and I can get the field names from the form. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Terry,

You could try comparing your script to the scripts in the PDF Manipulator Demo File, as it has full capability of reading, setting, and saving PDF form documents built into it. If you try to modify the same document using the Demo file, do you experience the same issue?

If you still see the same behavior even with the demo file, then please reach out to us either by email at support@productivecomputing.com or by phone at 1 (760) 510-1200, so that we can set up a remote desktop session to assist you in figuring out the cause of the issue.

Thanks!
