Error Handling Message??
« on: December 19, 2012, 04:15:00 PM »
The error handling seems to be vague.  In test mode via eAuthorize I successfully authorized & capture a transaction and received a transaction ID.  I then took that record and asked for a credit and I get "The referenced transaction does not meet the criteria for issuing a credit."  Since it was approved and has all the elements necessary what does that mean, what is the reason for the error?

Here is the code for credit - it's right out of the demo files:
// PCCC_AN_Credit( APILoginID ; TransactionKey ; TransID ; Amount ; CardNum )

PCCC_AN_Credit(
    CCSetup::APILogIn;
    CCSetup::TransactionKey;
    CCAuthorize::cc_TransactionID;
    CCAuthorize::Amount;
    CCAuthorize::CCNo
)

Hi Gmainis,

The error response "The referenced transaction does not meet the criteria for issuing a credit." is an error response from Authorize.net, what mode are you in?
If you are in a test process please try using PCCC_AN_Ucredit, if you are in a live process mode then use the PCCC_AN_Credit function.

Hopefully this resolves your issue.

Thanks - uCredit works.  Would be nice to have that in the documentation via "test mode".  It would have saved me debugging time.
