Importing Contacts is taking a very long time

Howdy,

I recently imported about 2000 contacts (.csv) into Core 4.  It took about 1.5 hours, so not a huge deal and no complaints.  The next night, I wanted to add ~400 more contacts.  I left my computer on all night and had to cancel the import b/c 15 hours had passed.  The status bars were moving but just wayyyyyy to slow.  I tried two more times with the same result.  I now have ~400 half-empty contacts.  Speedtest shows ~35Mbs download and ~12Mbs uploading speed on my network.  Has anyone else run into this issue?
