Website button - Trick or treat?
« on: October 11, 2012, 03:42:59 AM »
Hi guys I noticed you've had a greyed out 'Macintosh' demo download button on your fmbooksconnector.com site for about a year.

Is this ever coming, or is it just there for show?

Cheers,

John

We would love to make one but since Intuit has not released a Mac compatible SDK (Software Development Kit) for QuickBooks, we have not been able to create a Mac plug-in (thus have not created the Mac equivalent plug-in). Hopefully they change their stance and release one soon.

You know they really should do. The amount of clients we get that are Mac only and cannot find a decent accounting system with (1) and API and (2) a decent plugin for FileMaker is phenomenal.

The MoneyWorks plugin sucks, full of errors, even though MoneyWorks is actually OK. AccountEdge is great, and cheap, but there's no decent plugin... QuickBooks Mac could be a killer app if they opened it up like the Windows counterpart.

Just look at the amount people pay for Apple devices, surely its worth expanding upon.
