Demo Authenticaltion fails with error: Outlook Login Failed

Hi,

I'm on a MacBook Pro (2.66 GHz intel Core i7, 8 Gb RAM), running Parallels 7, Outlook 2010.

I have tried both beginner and advanced demos. Registration succeeds. Profile User Name and Password are left empty.

Authenticate to Outlook script fails with error message: "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."

Outlook is set to be the default Email client . . .

When I click on "OK" for this message, another message comes up: "Outlook Logon Failed - Error: 80004005 - ERROR: 80004005 MAPI CALL FAILED"

I see similar message from awhile back on this forum, but the solution was not posted . . . could you point me in the right direction, please?

What version of FileMaker and what version of the Outlook manipulator are you using in the virtual environment?

Please try the following:

1) Install all your Microsoft updates for your machine
2) Install all your Microsoft Outlook updates for your machine including service packs (this can be  found under the Help menu in Outlook)
3) Perform a Repair in Outlook as I basically want to ensure that all the necessary components in Outlook are present (this can be  found under "Programs and Features" in the control panel)

Am I missing something simple, like in the outlook folders of the setup section (left empty)?

The Outlook Folders area of the demo file is auto populated after authentication to outlook. I am unsure as to how your outlook setup is and would like to see these errors, a remote session may be the way to go. I am available anytime Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. I have the same problem with windows version.

Win7 64bit + Office 2010 Prof + Filemaker 11 adv and Filemaker 12 adv

I already check office and plugin installation

Can you please first try the following:

1) Install all your Microsoft updates for your machine
2) Install all your Microsoft Outlook updates for your machine (this can be  found under the Help menu in Outlook)
3) Perform a Detect and Repair in Outlook as I basically want to ensure that all the necessary components in Outlook are present (this can be  found under the Help menu in Outlook

4) Perform step 2 from our FileMaker demo file and first confirm that you receive a 0 for success.
5) Then try to push or pull a record from our demo file

If you are not having success with our demo file then can you please send me a screen shot of your Outlook folder tree so I may confirm what Outlook mailbox you are trying to connect with. Please let me know your results from the above steps as we may need to have a remote session on your machine.

You already answer of my question on other forum (installation) , i am using 64bit version of outlook (plug-in is not yet compatible with Outllok 64bit)

Actually I would be happy to help you but the problem is I don't know how to work on Outlook so I can't tell any details why the errors are coming but if you want any authentic answer then I would suggest that you first search on net or you can even ask to an expert who knows Outlook very well and operates on daily basis. I am sure by following this steps you will get the solution.
