Switching Quickbooks Company Files
« on: February 03, 2010, 07:11:59 AM »
Is it posable to work with one qb company file with  Filemaker, then switch to a different QB company file without restarting Filemaker?

Yes, use PCQB_BeginSession( File1Path ; "" ) to work with the QB file located at File1Path, and PCQB_BeginSession( File2Path ; "" ) to work with the QB file located at File2Path.  There are three caveats:

1) Call PCQB_EndSession between PCQB_BeginSession calls.

2) The QuickBooks application cannot have a company file open.  If there is a file open the path parameter in the PCQB_BeginSession is ignored.

3) The plug-in must have rights to open the file by itself.
