Can't open pdf on network desktop
« on: July 17, 2011, 06:49:19 PM »
I have downloaded the demo version and am testing it.

I can use the "Browse for PDF File" button to find the file with no problem, but when I click the "Open PDF File" button I get this error message:

Invalid path \ensad01\profiles$\Dallas\Desktop\Append 2.pdf

If I move the file to my local User folder, Browse for it there, then Open, it opens.

If I roll this out for the 3 or 4 people who would use it in our organisation, I would need the file to open from their desktop with the network path.

Any tips as to why it won't open the file using the network path?

I'm on Win7 64bit.

Answering my own question:
The path it is finding starts with a single backslash. It needs two.

I need to rewrite the script to append an additional backslash at the start of the path.
